Revolution(Original) - Tatha Mondal

One of the biggest revolutions in the human history would be the French Revolution and the Industrial Revolution. It?s almost been one full century since we haven't seen a significant change in our world. Well, I got to say this is going kind of off topic but life is messed up, we all feel like we're trapped. To be frank we're fed up of our lives, at least at my age of just 17, I realize how short our lives are and that we should capitalize each and every moment and opportunity. Don't get me wrong I'm not a hapless feeling guy, so far I am a peripatetic guy and just a regular guy who wants and wants to bring change to this world for the better of all beings. Well, in the following paragraphs I'm going to talk about my views, arguments, some anecdotes and ideas.

Well, the biggest changes in recent years that we?ve witnessed in the past few decades are computer technology and internet. Internet would be the biggest change. Technology changes spontaneously as we change and so does the Internet. It?s beneficial for communication, education and most importantly globalization. The Internet first made us think the whole world, the whole mankind as one big community. This marvelous thing was invented by some US engineers who made it for the military. But no sooner this was made than it spread across the States and then across the globe. It might sound a little bit science fictional but it?s also been used outer space ,even on Mars and deep space missions like Voyager. Technology has been changing our lives since the industrial revolution. Well, living in country with population more than 1 billion and with increasing pollution in this world, I got to say, Technology needs a big change. Perhaps it?s going to be Nano Technology but it could also be something else.

Our society is changing all the time. But we haven?t seen a significant change since women has had equal rights to men. This is true in most of the developed nations but in third world countries women are always left behind. I?m a believer in feminism. The idea that where women are respected just like men, the community thrives, is true. We all know how our society was back in the ages where women had had a lower position and how it kind of hampered our development. While in the Roman era, as we know men and women had equal rights, and we have coherent evidence that it was one of the best periods of history. Now, let snap back to the present period. If you consider the total population of the world, a majority of the women don?t own all the basic human rights. These include African nations, dictatorial countries, China and India. It?s a fact that you might be knowing already that in African nations and dictatorial states most human rights don?t apply. Mainly in those countries women are dissed and they are the ones who are lagging behind. Now, China and India have a different case. In their constitution human rights and feminism apply but there a twist in people?s mind. Chinese government fears their increasing population so they don?t want much girls to be born. In government hospitals infants are illegally killed. On the other hand in India, the government fears the exceeding number of abortion insisted on by family itself whenever there?s girl child. This sets up a clear example how asinine some societies are. ?With all due respect, Girls are more important than Cows? and ?People are more important than things ?and ?Each and every one of us is worthwhile?.

Now, for that the main thing we need is communication. In the following paragraph I'm going to talk about communication and language. Language is one of the best ways or perhaps the best way to communicate, make ourselves understood, share our thoughts and feelings. Its the one thing which has pushed the human race forward this far. With the introduction of the internet learning a new language is easier than ever. I don't know about you but most of us won't have a regular sex with a person if they don't share a common tongue. In this weird paradoxical world anything could happen but certainly not everything. Sure with language comes not only written and spoken words, accents and the way we use it is also important. I've heard that its written in Bible that once humanity reached its peak and fell down because we shared one language and because of that God wished that we could not ever have only one language. We don't want only one common language that would sound and look terrible, if we have just known one language. I don't want that. Language creates boundaries and barriers. I'm a multilingual and I can understand that very well. But here's what I believe and here's what I want. For our world we need one common tongue.
